LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – Two more performances remain in the Pottsgrove School District’s spring concert season, but the musical festival that has involved all five school buildings will end in only nine days, on May 24 (2017; next Wednesday). The shows are free and open to the public.

Left on the schedule are:

  • May 18 (Thursday): Middle School Choral Spring Concert at 7:30 p.m. at Pottsgrove Middle School on North Hanover Street; and
  • May 24: High School Choral Spring Concert at 7:30 p.m. at Pottsgrove High School on Kauffman Road.

These events have been added to The Post Publications calendar.

From Last Week’s Performances …

The first-ever performance of the Pottsgrove High School Brass Quintet – featuring students Dominic Flores, Casey Ivins, Aaron Schlosser, and Luke Robles, and retired music teacher Kathy Williams –  occurred last Thursday (May 11). Its members had only two days to prepare and practice before their appearance, Schlosser explained in introducing the group. Watch a video (above) of the quintet playing Gershwin melodies, or see it at The Post’s YouTube channel, here.
