Police, Fire Crews Respond To Medical Drive Call

SMOKE EMPTIES MEDICAL DRIVE OFFICES – Smoke that could be seen drifting from rooftop vents at the offices of Brookside Family Practice and Pediatrics, 1555 Medical Dr., Lower Pottsgrove, prompted its occupants to be evacuated Tuesday (May 16, 2017) at about 9 a.m., and first responders to arrive from the Sanatoga (at top and below), Ringing Hill, and Limerick fire companies, Lower Pottsgrove Police, Goodwill Ambulance, and PECO. The building lost electrical power about a half-hour earlier, employees reported, and firefighters and power company workers were checking wiring for a potential cause. While responders worked, a small group of medical staffers and a few patients watched and waited outside in the warm spring sun. Power reportedly continued to be unavailable for about 5 hours as the investigation and repair efforts progressed.
