Diamond Relay Golf Contest Raises $31,000

GOLF INVITATIONAL RAISES RELAY FUNDS – A 13th annual Charity Golf Invitational recently conducted by Lower Pottsgrove-based Diamond Credit Union and sponsored by E.R. Stuebner Construction, the company that was general contractor for reconstruction of Pottsgrove High School, raised more than $31,000 to benefit the American Cancer Society Relay For Life, the credit union announced Wednesday (May 17, 2017). It said more than 150 golfers came out for the day, which included some rain-postponed, Cinco de Mayo-inspired fun with margaritas and tacos for lunch. Jim Daly was this year’s chairman for the event that is the largest fundraiser held by the “Diamond’s Hope” relay team. Credit union President John Faust (at top, center) presented Amy Miller of the American Cancer Society with a donation check.
