Fire Moved From Sanatoga Clothes Dryer To Attic

SANATOGA PA – Equipment from five area fire companies responded Tuesday (May 30, 2017) at about 9:20 a.m. to a fire that began in a clothes dryer on the second floor of a home in the 800 block of Oakdale Drive, according to a Facebook post from the Sanatoga Fire Company. The home (inset above) is located in the Woodgate housing community on the northeast side of Lower Pottsgrove. The fire crept into its attic but was extinguished a short time later.

No injuries were reported. The extent of damage to the home is unknown.

Crews from the Sanatoga and Ringing Hill fire companies were the first called to the scene. They later were joined by those from Limerick, Pottstown and Linfield. The line of apparatus on hand stretched down the block (above).
