Do Lower Pottsgrove Police Have Your Money?

SANATOGA PA – Lower Pottsgrove police this morning (Friday, June 23, 2017) said they’ve got a stack of bills that belongs to someone. Their question, posed in a release distributed at 7:26 a.m.: Is it yours?

Township officers said were called Thursday afternoon (June 22) at 4:10 p.m. to the location of a “concerned,” and apparently honest, citizen in the 100 block of Porter Road. Once they arrived, “the citizen (no name, age, or gender was offered) turned over a large sum of currency” found in the nearby area. The release from Ofc. David McKechnie also did not specify the amount, or where the cash was discovered.

Now the township department is looking for the money’s owner.

If you think it’s yours and if you can answer questions the authorities might pose regarding it, Lower Pottsgrove police hope to talk with you, the release said. Call the department at 610-326-1508.
