Sanatoga Green Approval Delayed To July 20

BOARD WANTS OUTSTANDING ISSUES SETTLED – Open disagreement erupted Thursday (July 2, 2017) between representatives of Castle Caldecott LLC, the development company seeking approval of the Sanatoga Green project on Evergreen Road in Lower Pottsgrove, and elected and appointed officials over several developer requests for legal language changes in plan approval documents. That prompted the township Board of Commissioners to initially table and close the discussion. Its members later relented, heard talking points from both sides, and then sent developers and township staffers back into meetings next week to seek a compromise and settle differences. Most arguments focused on township restrictions meant to ensure commercial facets of the project will be constructed in tandem with its residences. Developers object to those limits, saying they would hinder project financing. Also at issue were construction of drainage basins. The board hopes to finalize project details in time for its July 20 meeting, members said.
