Pottsgrove Schedules October Honor Roll Event

LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – Reservations are being accepted now for the October event during which four prominent individuals will be named to the Pottsgrove School District Honor Roll. It recognizes members of the Pottsgrove community who have given distinguished service to the district, or who have made outstanding contributions to society after graduating from its schools.

The 17th annual honor roll luncheon is scheduled to be held Oct. 28 at noon in Copperfield’s on West Ridge Pike in Limerick. This year’s program honors Dr. Theresa L. Burns, class of 1978; Barbara Sherman Cooper, class of 1976; the late Jill L. Wrigley, class of 1982; and Dr. Richard Radel, retired Pottsgrove educator.

Reservations can be made by Oct. 18 by calling 610-367-6605.

Burns is a chiropractor in the Pottstown area. Cooper runs the community meal program at Trinity United Church of Christ. Wrigley dedicated her life to social justice initiatives. Radel was a teacher and long-time principal of Pottsgrove High School.

The honor roll board consists of Charles Yohn, James Basile, Earl Boehmer, Arlan Burkert, D.J. Testa, Tom Roberts, John Meko, Bernard Conley, Robert Rheel, Addison Davidson, Barbara Clayton, and Linda Cole.
