LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – Westbound U.S. Route 422 motorists will encounter a left-lane closure Thursday (Aug. 3, 2017) from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. between its Sanatoga and Armand Hammer interchanges in Lower Pottsgrove for bridge construction activities, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation reported.
Bridge building is a major part of a $73.3 million project to rebuild 1.6 miles of 422, which includes new structures over the Schuylkill River and Norfolk Southern railroad tracks.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area. The schedule of J.D. Eckman Inc. of Atglen PA will depend on the weather. Work on the entire project is scheduled to finish in October 2018.
