Flipped Truck Thursday Slowed 422 East Traffic

THURSDAY MORNING TRAFFIC HEADACHE – A tractor-trailer carrying milk products up the Trooper Road exit ramp of eastbound U.S. Route 422 overturned onto its side Thursday (Aug. 3, 2017) at around 5 a.m., and delayed traffic on both 422 and Trooper Road. Police patrols, and vehicle rescue units from the Lower Providence Fire Department and King of Prussia Fire Company responded; a cause of the accident was not available. Lower Providence first responders said on Facebook that the truck’s driver “was able to free himself” before they arrived, and was transported to an area hospital for treatment of his injuries. Some fuel was reportedly spilled. As crews worked to clear the scene the ramp was closed, as was Trooper Road from Egypt Road to 422, according to WTXF-TV “Fox 29” traffic reporter Bob Kelly.
