SANATOGA PA – Lower Pottsgrove officials plan this week to begin assembling the township’s 2018 general fund budget, in a process that will repeat much of what the Board of Commissioners publicly said it liked last year, Manager Ed Wagner explained Monday (Aug. 7, 2017) during its meeting.
Commissioner and certified public accountant Robert Mohollen will again “take the lead” in overseeing most components of the spending plan, relying on input from his four elected colleagues, Wagner said. During the 2017 budget period, Mohollen won high marks from the board for analyzing revenues and costs, making suggestions, and keeping them informed.
Wagner also distributed his annual budget calendar that spans the weeks from now through mid-December, and identifies completion dates for budget-specific tasks. Up first: meetings with township department heads that are expected to begin Friday (Aug. 11).
