Two Occupants At Days Inn Facing Drug Charges

LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – Illegal breakfast-time indulgences that Lower Pottsgrove police allege involved two Philadelphia area men staying at the Days Inn Hotel on Industrial Highway resulted in their temporary relocation Monday (Aug. 7, 2017) to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility.

Arrested on drug-related charges were Eric Michael Leonetti, 38, of Glenside PA, and Matthew A.M. Blaskovich, 26, of Brookhaven PA.

Police Department Sgt. Robert Greenwood and Ofc. Scott Bond were called to the hotel Monday at 7:10 a.m. by its management staff to deal with a man outside the facility who appeared to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol, they reported. One of them, Leonetti, “was found to be under the influence of drugs,” and also was detained for being “a danger to himself in public.”

During a search of Leonetti and his belongings, police found “suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, along with other illegal pills.” They charged him with three misdemeanor drug counts, and also issued a summary violation.

Blaskovich, who was accompanying Leonetti outside, was found during a pat-down to be carrying a syringe that police claimed is commonly used for illegal drugs. He was charged with one misdemeanor and a summary violation.

Both Leonetti and Blaskovich both were taken to the county jail in Eagleville PA to await preliminary arraignment and bail determinations.

Back at the Days Inn, police learned that – unknown to the hotel management, they said – several other males and a lone female all were staying in the same room. Their identifications were checked and verified, and no charges were filed against any of them. The hotel evicted them.
