THANKING SANATOGA FIRE FOR A SUCCESSFUL SUMMER – Members of the Sanatoga Fire Company received a $500 donation Sunday (Aug. 6, 2017) from the Lower Pottsgrove Board of Commissioners and township Parks and Recreation Committee to thank them for their help in making this summer’s concert series run smoothly. Company volunteers were on hand weekly during the concerts at Sanatoga Park to distribute bottles of water, sell snacks, serve up hamburgers and hot dogs, and provide comfort and emergency services if needed. During the commissioners’ Monday (Aug. 7) meeting, board member Ray Lopez noted the fire company’s presence gave concert-goers a “sense of security, just knowing they were there.” This year’s concerts, financially underwritten by Exelon Corp. and its Limerick Generating Station, were well-received and attracted several large crowds.
