Bridge widening. Motorists will encounter an overnight left-lane closure on westbound 422 Tuesday (Aug. 22), from midnight to 6 a.m., between the Route 23 and Route 363 interchanges for construction related to installing new, wider bridges over the Schuylkill River. Backups will occur, PennDOT warned.
Sign structure repairs. Lane closures are scheduled on eastbound 422 Monday through Friday (Aug. 21-25) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily between just east of the Pawlings Road overpass and the Route 363 interchange in Lower Providence Township.
