Labor Day Holiday Affects Mascaro Pick-Ups

AUDUBON PA – Because Labor Day (Monday, Sept. 4, 2017) is one of six holidays observed by Audubon-based trash hauler J.P. Mascaro and Sons, its offices and operations will be closed that day, its website reported. Consequently, it added, curbside garbage and recyclable items from municipalities it serves will be picked up the following day. For Lower Pottsgrove, that’s Tuesday (Sept. 5).

Mascaro’s other corporate observed holidays are New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day, it said.

Township property owners who are already working, or soon will be, to clean up their properties for the fall season should be aware that the next free pickup of leaf and yard waste is scheduled for the first Mondays of October through November (Oct. 2, Nov. 6, and Dec. 4, respectively), according to the township website.
