NORRISTOWN PA – Court papers filed Monday (Sept. 25, 2017) by Montgomery County prosecutors say they want a jury to see “crime scene and autopsy photographs related to a triple-fatal crash that occurred when two men allegedly were racing vehicles on Route 422 in West Pottsgrove,” The Mercury newspaper reported.
Mercury writer Carl Hessler Jr. said county Deputy District Attorney Thomas W. McGoldrick hopes to admit the photos into evidence when Shone G. Santiago and Evaughn-Sha Antonio Walters stand trial in connection with the allegedly racing-related crash. It occurred during February (2017) on eastbound 422, and left two people and an unborn child dead.
McGoldrick’s filing contends the value of the photos in jury deliberations “would outweigh any perceived prejudice to the defendants,” Hessler reported. “Judge Todd D. Eisenberg is expected to hold a hearing on the request before the trial for the two men begins Oct. 16.,” the story added.
