NEW GRANT MONEY RECEIVED – Two grants of $10,000 each have been awarded by the Pennsylvania Office of Child Development and Early Learning for “innovative efforts” at the Pottsgrove School District’s Ringing Rocks and West Pottsgrove elementary schools to provide what the agency called high-quality early learning to more as-risk children. The grants, channeled through the agency to Pottsgrove from federal “Race To The Top” education funding, will help expand the schools’ prenatal-to-third grade (known as “P3”) projects, the district Board of School Directors learned Tuesday (Sept. 26, 2017). It unanimously voted to accept the money.
