SANATOGA PA – Lower Pottsgrove Chief Michael Foltz repeated his invitation Monday (Oct. 2, 2017) to have the public join him later this month for a cup of coffee and a candid chat, no strings attached. He’ll even fill your cup.
As in neighboring communities, the chief is reaching out to create a casual forum on a scheduled day where area residents – and specifically those who live in the township – can talk comfortably with the leader of local law enforcement. That would be Foltz, of course, and the scheduled day is Oct. 14 (2017; Saturday) from 8-11 a.m. in Gatsby’s Restaurant at Sunnybrook Ballroom, 50 Sunnybrook Rd.

Topics? They’re wide open, Foltz told the Board of Commissioners during its Monday night meeting. The chief said he hopes the session lets residents “ask questions and learn more about the department’s work” in the township and its neighborhoods. “I don’t plan to do much talking at this, but a lot of listening,” he told board members. The event represents another attempt “to make lasting connections” with the community, he added.
The township Board of Commissioners supports the initiative, and Sunnybrook offered up its hospitality, the chief said. If they’re so inclined, visitors can buy their breakfast at Gatsby’s too, but sorry, no: the chief won’t pick up that tab.
