Pottsgrove Students Chased Away Spookiness

THEY KEPT THE NIGHTS FUN AND SAFE – Dozens of Pottsgrove High School students (below), who are members of its Spark The Wave organization, spent Friday and Saturday nights (Oct. 13-14, 2017) ensuring visitors to Althouse Arboretum in Upper Pottsgrove had a safe and enjoyable time during its annual family night hikes. The hikes are the arboretum’s most popular events, during which participants “can walk through candle-lit trails to storytellers, then end the evening with marshmallows and (a) bonfire,” it said. Additional games and children’s activities (at top and bottom) were offered at the arboretum pavilion. Parents enjoy the hikes as an “alternative to traditional Halloween activities,” according to the arboretum Facebook page.
