Township Police Chief Michael Foltz (right) talked Saturday with more than 40 visitors
SANATOGA PA – What a difference location can make.
Police are accustomed to meeting residents they serve during crisis situations. People may be angry, scared, or worried, and often not at their best. But offer them “a relaxed atmosphere, when tensions are not high and (there are) no interruptions like we normally encounter,” Lower Pottsgrove Police Department Chief Michael Foltz said Saturday (Oct. 14, 2017), and things can change dramatically.
Foltz said he was overwhelmingly pleased with the outcome of his first “Coffee With The Chief” event, held Saturday morning in Gatsby’s Restaurant at the SunnyBrook conference center, Sanatoga. He labeled it “a big success in my book,” one that gave him an opportunity to meet individually with between 40 and 50 residents.
The chief was pleased by “a lot of positive feedback from those that attended,” and reported he made “made a number of new friends.” Potentially more important, though, were tips they gave on problems and situations his department is prepared to investigate. “We fielded a lot of great information at this event,” he added.
Foltz publicly praised SunnyBrook and Gatsby’s for serving as hosts, and “all the hard work put into this day to make it a success.”
