Earlier construction progress this year on a portion of U.S. Route 422
LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – Westbound U.S. Route 422 drivers will encounter a right-lane closure next Monday and Tuesday (Oct. 23-24, 2017) from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. daily between the Sanatoga and Route 724 interchanges in Lower Pottsgrove as bridge construction continues there, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced.
PennDOT predicts the bridge, and the remainder of its project to rebuild 1.6 miles of 422, and construct new structures over the Schuylkill River and Norfolk Southern railroad tracks, should be finished by this time next year.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the area. The work schedule on contractor J.D. Eckman Inc. of Atglen PA depends on the weather, it noted.
