Drivers: Bleim Road Detour Takes Effect Today

LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – Effective today (Oct. 25, 2017), and continuing through the end of November, Bleim Road will close daily for as much as 6 hours on weekdays, and 12 hours on Saturday, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation reminded Lower Pottsgrove drivers. Contractors for the Spring Valley Farms development on Bleim will lay pipe and utilities along the road between New Hanover Square and North Pleasant View roads.

The closure will be in place Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. As a result, vehicles will be detoured over North Charlotte Street, Keim Street, Buchert Road and North Pleasant View (see the map above, provided by township Manager Ed Wagner).

PennDOT suggested drivers allow extra time when traveling near the work area. Slowdowns may occur on neighboring or intersecting roads, and on the detour route. The contractor’s work depends on the weather, it said.
