Township Specifies Trick-Or-Treat Hours

LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – Official trick-or-treating hours in Lower Pottsgrove have been set for Halloween night (Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2017) from 6-9 p.m., the township announced.

The three-hour window should be plenty of time for adults and children alike to make the candy tours of their neighborhoods. Township police are expected to have a heightened presence during the evening.

For young children, Halloween night is one of the best of the year, but trick-or-treating can be dangerous if kids and parents aren’t careful. Safety experts offer these tips for those heading out:

  • Plan a route in advance;
  • Wear comfy shoes;
  • Stay well-lighted;
  • Ensure all costumes are short (so no one can trip);
  • Avoid masks if possible (so everyone can seen clearly)
  • Use flexible props; and
  • Check your child’s candy.
