Take A Sample Ballot With You To Voting Booth

NORRISTOWN PA -You may benefit during today’s general elections by seeing a sample ballot before you see the real ballot, political wisdom goes.

If you’re a local registered voter, your arrival today (Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017) at polling places in Lower, Upper and West Pottsgrove townships probably will be greeted by a flurry of partisan campaign workers. They’re often found standing outside the polls, anxious to give you items that mention the names of the candidates they support and for whom they hope you’ll vote. Accept, or ignore, any or all of it as you desire.

Political experts agree that having a prepared list of candidates you favor, to take with you into a voting booth, helps avoid confusion and ensures you select office-holders who meet your criteria. That’s how a sample ballot can be valuable.

The Montgomery County Voter Services Department provides sample ballots (at top is a portion of that for Lower Pottsgrove District 1) for each of the county’s voting districts. Its official ballot images are available as Adobe Acrobat (PDF) documents, and can be downloaded to your mobile device or printed. Find yours there before you go to the polls, circle or mark your favorite candidates, and voila!: instant list.
