Incumbents Return In Lower Pottsgrove Voting

LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – Incumbent Lower Pottsgrove Township commissioners Raymond W. Lopez and Earl E. Swavely Jr. will return to seats at the Buchert Road municipal building conference table after winning their general election bids Tuesday (Nov. 7, 2017) over challenger Michael Bianco, according to unofficial results from the Montgomery County Voter Services Office with all election districts reporting.

Of  two four-year-term seats available to the three candidates, Lopez was the top vote-getter with 868 or 34,90 percent; Swavely had 877, for 35.26 percent; and Bianco, 741, 29.79 percent. There was one write-in vote, too.

A third commissioner, Robert Mohollen, who was unopposed, won 886 votes to complete a remaining term of two years. One write-in was entered in that race.

Tax Collector Jennifer Marsteller, also unopposed, received 976 votes. A write-in was also entered.

A total of 7,602 township residents were registered to vote. Only 1,700, or 22.36 percent of them, cast ballots.
