Members of the Sounds Of SunnyBrook Dance Band will perform during “A Dickens’ Christmas”
SANATOGA PA – The grand ballroom at SunnyBrook, 50 Sunnybrook Rd., will glow with Christmas cheer Dec. 1 (2017; Friday) from 6-11 p.m. when The SunnyBrook Foundation hosts its annual, open-to-the-public holiday ball. The facility will be decorated in a traditional English manner for its theme, “A Dickens’ Christmas.”
The fund-raising dinner and accompanying dance will benefit the non-profit foundation and its continuing work with the historic landmark, as well as the Pottstown Cluster of Religious Communities, for which the foundation will collect donated unwrapped gifts to be presented to cluster families.
The evening offers a multi-course buffet featuring roasted rum-glazed turkey, prime rib with rosemary demiglaze, and molasses pork tenderloin with red wine sauce. The meal will be followed by the Sounds of Sunny Brook Dance Band, and plenty of holiday cheer with an available cash bar. Foundation organizers report the event is “perfect for family, friends, or even a company holiday get-together.”
Ticket options for “A Dickens’ Christmas” are being offered for the dance band show only at $10 per person; dinner and dancing tickets that include the meal, entertainment, taxes and gratuities for $55 each; and dinner and dancing tickets for groups of 10 or more people, at $45 each. Tickets can be ordered online, here.
The foundation was created during 2003 to save and restore SunnyBrook, which was once the regular performance venue for some of the country’s most popular big bands and musicians, and put it on the National Historic Registry. The foundation strives to preserve SunnyBrook’s heritage of music, entertainment, and community involvement for generations to come.
