SANATOGA PA – An hour-long executive session – during which “personnel, and real estate” matters were discussed, according to Lower Pottsgrove Solicitor Charles Garner – involved the township Board of Commissioners on Tuesday (Nov. 28, 2017) from 7-8 p.m. The closed-to-the-public conversation, on which no other details were offered, preceded an unusually scheduled 8 p.m. public meeting held the same night in the municipal building, 2199 Buchert Rd.
Garner said no action had been taken by board members.
Board discussions of some legal and personnel issues are allowed by state law in closed-door meetings under certain circumstances. Official action on any topic must be made only in public meetings.
Commissioners’ cancel Dec. 4 scheduled meeting
The board’s next meeting, originally scheduled for Monday (Dec. 4) at 7 p.m. in the municipal building, has been canceled, President Bruce Foltz announced. Instead, the board’s last meeting of 2017 will be held Dec. 21 (Thursday), at the same time and place. A copy of the board agenda usually is available for download at least a day in advance from the township website, here. Commissioners have already advertised their intent to consider final adoption of the 2018 township budget then.
