Police Arrest Sanatoga Man In Domestic Dispute

LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – A 49-year-old Sanatoga man was arrested Wednesday (Dec. 6, 2017), according to a Montgomery County District Court docket sheet, by Lower Pottsgrove police after he allegedly struck two women during a domestic dispute, injuring one of them.

A Jan. 4 (2018) preliminary hearing in the Pottstown courtroom of Magisterial District Justice Edward C. Kropp Sr. has been set for Ibrahim Srour, who faces three charges of simple assault and two of harassment by subjecting others to physical contact, the document shows.

Police said they responded Wednesday at 7:09 a.m. to a call regarding a domestic incident at a home in the 2000 block of Deer Ridge Drive. There they found a 46-year-old woman with visible injuries, and a 15-year-old woman, her daughter. Following investigation interviews, police alleged Srour struck the older woman twice in the face with his hands during an argument, and then allegedly struck the younger woman as she attempted to defend her mother.

No medical treatment was needed for either victim, police said.

Srour was arraigned Wednesday before Kropp, with unsecured bail set at $5,000.
