POTTSTOWN PA – Sign installations through Lower Pottsgrove and Pottstown, which are part of the work to rebuild 1.6 miles of U.S. Route 422, will close portions of its eastbound right lane to traffic for four days during a two-week period that begins Jan. 17, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said Wednesday (Jan. 10).
Closures are planned for Jan. 17-18 (Wednesday and Thursday) from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily, as well as Jan. 22-23 (Monday and Tuesday) at the same times, on the eastbound right lane between the 422 interchanges at Keim Street and Sanatoga, PennDOT said.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area, it added. All activities depend on weather conditions. J.D. Eckman Inc. of Atglen PA is general contractor on the $73.3 million project. Work on the entire refurbishing is scheduled to finish in fall 2018.
