Postponements, Stays Good News In Local Foreclosures

Seven of nine foreclosures on properties in Lower Pottsgrove, scheduled for proposed sale Wednesday by the county sheriff, have been stopped or delayed. So have all six scheduled in Limerick, and 30 of 34 scheduled in Pottstown.

Family Services, Car Dealer Partner In Loan Program

The Montgomery County agency, which operates offices in Sanatoga, and a Philadelphia area car dealer have teamed up to offer loans to low- and moderate-income individuals to help them buy a car. Even those with spotty credit histories can apply.

Lower Pottsgrove Back To Drawing Board On Trash

After rejecting all three bids submitted last week for the township’s trash hauling business during at least the next three years, the Board of Commissioners decided to issue another call for bidders. Its solicitor cited problems with all submissions.

Township Bends To Give Garbage Bidders Choices

Lower Pottsgrove agreed to give haulers bidding for its trash collection business an option to pick-up over two days rather than just one. Bidders say the ability to spread out collections will save them money and reduce township costs.
