When Winters Raged, Sanatoga Lake Was Place To Be

Fill Up! Italian Meals Benefit Helped Pottsgrove Marchers

A Wednesday night fund-raiser at a Pottstown Italian restaurant served up donations to the Pottsgrove High School Marching Band. It’s raising money to participate in the 100th anniversary of the Cherry Blossom Festival Parade next month in Washington D.C.

Answer To Prayer: Academy Helps Rolling Hills Students

Talk among participants at a prayer breakfast led to action by Coventry Christian Schools to form a tutoring-and-sports program specifically intended to help students living at the Rolling Hills apartment complex on Buchert Road. It won a grant for the project last December.

Exelon Presents Neighboring Limerick With $150,000 Gift

Officials from the Limerick Generating Station arrived Tuesday at the Limerick Board of Supervisors’ meeting to deliver Exelon Nuclear’s fourth donation of $150,000 during the past our years. The money supports a variety of first responder and recreational programs in Limerick Township.

Speed Limit, Stop Signs Topics Of Park Road Hearings

Lower Pottsgrove commissioners will conduct public hearings later this month to place speed limits on South Park Road, and install dual stop signs near its entrance to the upper portion of Sanatoga Park. The park is expected to be particularly busy during baseball season.

Ringing Hill Asks Zoners To Offer ‘Cycle Safety Courses

Lower Pottsgrove’s zoning hearing board has scheduled a Feb. 21 hearing on whether it should grant a special exception to the Ringing Hill Fire Company to conduct motorcycle safety training courses on its property, which is in a residential zone.
