Police Chief Shade Retiring; Foltz Named Acting Chief

After 28 years on the Lower Pottsgrove force, and almost six of them as its commanding officer, Chief Michael Shade said Tuesday he will step down this month. His next career awaits, as a detective with Montgomery County. Lt. Michael Foltz has been named the department’s acting chief.
