To casual observers, Pruss Hill Road and its bridge over Sanatoga Creek present a picturesque, serene, bucolic scene. Beneath the bridge, however, and not readily apparent to the public, lie structural problems that caused it to be closed nearly three weeks ago.

Pruss Hill Bridge Might Re-Open With Weight Limit

The now-blocked bridge on Pruss Hill Road, considered unsafe and closed on Sept. 16, could possibly be re-opened under weight limits if Lower Pottsgrove engineers agree it could tolerate the loads, township commissioners were told Monday.

Bridge Damage Closes Pruss Hill Road ‘Indefinitely’

Pruss Hill Road in Lower Pottsgrove, between North Pleasant View and Schaeffer roads, has been closed for two weeks. Until repairs are made to Pruss Hill’s unsafe bridge – and that date hasn’t yet been specified – it will stay closed, according to the township.
