School directors have already reached tentative agreement on specifics of a three-year deal with its teachers, although the two sides describe it somewhat differently. The board’s official vote on the matter is scheduled tonight.

The Board of School Directors unanimously voted Tuesday to accept a fact-finder’s proposals in the labor contract negotiations between the Pottsgrove School District and its teachers. Now a decision to accept or reject must be made by union members.

To avoid paying about $600,000 in contractually required raises for employees represented by the Pottsgrove Education Association, school directors on Tuesday said if no labor contract is signed with teachers by summer’s end, they would delay reopening until Sept. 6.
