KNAUERTOWN PA – The 75-year-old Horseshoe Trail, a 140-mile hiking and horse trail that runs between Valley Forge PA and the Appalachian Trail in southeastern Pennsylvania, will be the subject of a comparatively short walk and discussion June 5 (2011; Sunday) from 2-4 p.m. in Warwick County Park, a Chester-County park located at 191 County Park Road, Pottstown, PA.

A portion of the trail passes through Warwick County Park. Visitors will learn about it through pictures and stories told by guide Ingrid Cantarella-Fox, as well as get information on its maintenance and volunteers. After the discussion, the group will walk a portion of the trail within the park.

Participants should meet at Pavilion 2. The park is 3-1/2 miles west of the intersection of Routes 100 and 23 in the village of Knauertown. The event is free and open to the public. Advance registration is required; register using a form that can be downloaded here, or call 610-469-1916.
