POTTSTOWN PA – The motel located across the street from the North Hall of Montgomery County Community College‘s Pottstown campus has changed franchises.

The two-story facility at 29 High St., Pottstown PA, on the northeast corner of High and Manatawny streets, operated for many years under the Days Inn banner. It recently became a part of the America’s Best Value Inn chain.

ABVI, as the franchise calls itself, claims to be “the fastest-growing hotel chain in the country, increasing from two properties to 950 locations and 50,000 guestrooms throughout North America in just 11 years.” The Pottstown affiliation is one of 28 properties it added during the first quarter of 2011, the company said.

Meanwhile, the former Best Western hotel located at 1600 Industrial Hwy. in Lower Pottsgrove (PA) Township also has changed brand affiliations, and become the Pottstown area’s newest Days Inn.
