Enjoying The Holiday At Pottstown’s Memorial Park

IT’S TWO DAYS OF FOURTH FUN AT POTTSTOWN’S BIGGEST PARK  – The Independence Day holiday is being celebrated in style in the borough of Pottstown, with solemn commemorations (such as the Field of Flags dedication, above), as well as rides (below), amusements, shows and, of course, fireworks. The event got under way Sunday (July 3, 2011), and continues through today and tonight (Monday, July 4) at Memorial Park on West King Street, Pottstown PA. Here’s what’s planned for today:

  • 8  a.m. , Patriotic Pottstown 5K Run Hill School
  • 10:15 a.m., Parade and Flyover High Street
  • 11  a.m. to 5 p.m., 7th Annual BMX American Eagle Race Trilogy Park
  • 1-7 p.m., Craft Show Field # 2
  • Noon to 2 p.m., Pottstown Little League All Star Games (National League) Memorial Park Field #3
  • 1–9:30 p.m., Field of Flags Open for Public Viewing Memorial Park Island Entrances
  • 1:30–7 p.m., 4th of July Calendar, Hat and Memorabilia Sales Field #2 @ July 4 Sound Booth
  • 2-4 p.m., Pottstown Little League All Star Games (American League) Memorial Park Field #3
  • 2-4:30 p.m., Water Slide Dyke @ Field 2
  • 3-5 p.m., Four Faces West sponsored by Trilogy Park Main Stage
