Pottstown Schools Introduce Parent Literacy Nights

POTTSTOWN PA – A series of “parent literacy nights” for parents of students who are of pre-kindergarten, kindergarten and first grade ages are being conducted by the Pottstown School District and Step By Step Learning, on various Tuesday nights, beginning Sept. 13 at 5:30 p.m. in Pottstown Middle School, 600 N. Franklin St., Pottstown PA. The free sessions focus on helping parents t develop skills that help their children in learning to read at home.

Other nights in the series are Oct. 4, Oct. 25, Nov. 15, and Dec. 6.

Parents are encouraged to attend any or all of the events. In addition to quality information, they also will feature refreshments, prizes, raffles and games. Free child care will be available. Local sponsors of the series are Applebee’s, Friendly’s, and Boscov’s.
