POTTSTOWN PA – On Tuesday afternoon (Aug. 23, 2011) in western Montgomery County PA, folks were still buzzing about an earthquake they’ll probably remember for the rest of their lives … even if few of them were adversely affected by it. Here’s what they were saying, and seeing, on YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, and Flickr:
Sorry about the earthquake in Valley Forge, everyone. I cast “Earthquake” instead of “Milkshake”.
Earthquake was strong enough to rattle the window and shake the blinds in my office. I thought someone was jumping up and down on the roof of my office. Went up to check-no one there not even the old hospital ghost. That was quite a quake to go from VA and make buildings in Pottstown, Pa, and up to Rhode Island shake. What’s next hurricanes?
By Evan Brandt firstname.lastname@example.org LIMERICK – The earthquake which struck the east coast Tuesday afternoon did not shut down Exelon Nuclear’s Limerick Generating Station.Spokesman Joseph Szafran said following the seismic event, which did register at the nuclear facility, the plant was operating at full capacity.”The earthquake was felt, but it didn’t jeopardize the safe operation of the plant.
AT&T coverage apparently down in #Royersford. #quake
