They Felt The Earth Move Under Their Feet

POTTSTOWN PA – On Tuesday afternoon (Aug. 23, 2011) in western Montgomery County PA, folks were still buzzing about an earthquake they’ll probably remember for the rest of their lives … even if few of them were adversely affected by it. Here’s what they were saying, and seeing, on YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, and Flickr:

Sorry about the earthquake in Valley Forge, everyone. I cast “Earthquake” instead of “Milkshake”.

Earthquake was strong enough to rattle the window and shake the blinds in my office. I thought someone was jumping up and down on the roof of my office. Went up to check-no one there not even the old hospital ghost. That was quite a quake to go from VA and make buildings in Pottstown, Pa, and up to Rhode Island shake. What’s next hurricanes?

@allthingsfadra Pottstown isn’t that bad. And no real damage from the quake. While in Reading, PA, bridges are cracking…

Just (5 minutes ago) had a small tremor in Pottstown. It could be felt in King of Prussia – about 25 miles away. Husband called to say “Yes, that was a quake”!
