POTTSTOWN PA – More than two days of almost constant rain culminated Wednesday (Sept. 7, 2011) in fast-flowing water that overran the banks of Sanatoga Creek and flooded a stretch of North Sanatoga Road north of East High Street. It was closed to traffic much of the day.
The Townships Emergency Operations Command Center was activated tonight. The EOC coordinator met with the Board of Supervisors, the Police Dept and the Norco Fire Company to implement actions in anticipation of serious flooding in South Pottstown.
Chester County will be calling residents in the south Pottstown area through the 911 reverse call system advising them to move items to higher levels. It’s gonna be a long night! Prayers for all involved to be safe!
