Runners Had Fun (Crowd Too!) Sunday With Funky Santa

KEEPING THE HOLIDAY SPIRIT ALIVE … AND FUNNY – Runners of all ages and inspiring holiday costumes turned out Sunday morning (Dec. 4, 2011) at Montgomery County Community College on College Drive, Pottstown PA, (above) to participate in this year’s edition of the 5k “Funky Santa Run” and three-person relay. Hundreds of dollars were available in prizes. The run, part of downtown Pottstown’s holiday activities, is meant to bring a smile to the faces of both participants and observers. The idea is to dress for the race in an amusing but holiday-themed outfit. Some runners came as Santa himself, some as the gifts he carried, and some as the Grinches who stole them (above and below).
