Outlets, Other Attractions Drum Up Business In Harrisburg
THEY’RE SEEKING TO BRING MORE TOURISTS THIS WAY – Keri A. Branch (above), assistant general manager of the Philadelphia Premium Outlets in Limerick, and dozens of other business representatives were busy Tuesday (March 20, 2012) in Harrisburg PA trying to drum up future revenue. The outlets represent a tourist attraction where shopping bargains draw thousands of visitors annually, many of them by motorcoach and bus. To keep that business flowing, Branch and a team from the outlets participated in the annual “Marketplace” show of the Pennsylvania Bus Association at the state capital’s Farm Center Complex. Bus tour operators from across the Commonwealth ferried more than 1,100 tour group leaders (below) to the show to introduce them to a variety of attractions from within a five-state area.
