PDIDA Seeks Volunteers For Pottstown Visitors’ Center

Welcome visitors into town

POTTSTOWN PA – A new visitors’ center, sponsored by the Pottstown Downtown Improvement District Authority, is expected to open in coming weeks at 17 N. Hanover St., and the organization is calling now for volunteers to greet those coming into town.

PDIDA said Tuesday (April 17, 2012) it is looking for people who are personable, like meeting others, and can offer information and directions to various events and businesses downtown and in the surrounding area. Volunteering at the center is one more way “to make a positive impact” in the community, PDIDA’s Sheila Dugan noted.

Work during the center’s Monday through Saturday hours will be divided depending on volunteers’ time schedules, she added.
