MCCC Pottstown Student Earns Public Speaking Award
POTTSTOWN PA – Michael Samuel of Pottstown, a student at the west campus of Montgomery County Community College on College Drive, recently earned third-place in a public speaking competition held during the Phi Beta Lambda State Leadership Conference in Gettysburg PA, the college reported Monday (May 7, 2012).
Phi Beta Lambda is a student-led, college-level organization of the Future Business Leaders of America. Five MCCC students attended the April conference, which in addition to the competitions also included workshops and business events.
Samuel competed against his peers from PBL chapters from across the state, including four-year institutions such as Temple University, Drexel University and University of Pittsburgh.
