July 9 Deadline Looms For Storm Disaster Loans in PAREADING PA – Small business owners, agricultural co-ops, and private non-profit organizations in Berks County PA have until July 9 (2012) to file for federal Economic Injury Disaster Loans that would help pay for severe flood damage caused by Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee during late August and early September 2011, the U.S. Small Business Administration reported.

The SBA loans are available to eligible farm- and nonfarm-related entities that suffered financial losses as a direct result of the disaster. Loans amount can be up to $2 million with a 4-percent interest rate for eligible small businesses, and 3 percent for non-profit organizations, with terms up to 30 years.

In addition to Berks, the SBA disaster declaration in Pennsylvania covers Adams, Bradford, Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Lycoming, Schuylkill, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Tioga, Wyoming and York counties.
