Pottstown Airport Day Features Free Flights And Food
POTTSTOWN PA – Local volunteer pilots will give free airplane rides to children between the ages of 8 and 17 years old on Sept. 29 (2012; Saturday) from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. as part of the borough’s Municipal Airport Day, held at the airport, 1149 Glasgow St. The day’s rain-or-shine activities are open to the public.

The free flights are part of the Young Eagle Rally sponsored by Pottstown Chapter 1250 of the Experimental Aircraft Association. The rides are weather-dependent, and subject to the availability of pilots and aircraft. The authorizing signature of a parent or guardian will be required.
The day also will include activities for younger children, as well as information about learning to fly. Airplanes will be on display for an up-close look. Free hot dogs and chips will be served.
