Bring Your Pet (And Come Yourself!) To Borough’s Fair
POTTSTOWN PA – Billed as an event for “all types of animal, and even butterfly, lovers,” the borough’s second annual Pottstown Pet Fair is scheduled for Saturday (Sept. 22, 20120 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Smith Family Plaza, located in front of Pottstown Borough Hall, 100 High St. The event is free and open to the public.

This year’s pet fair will feature a butterfly garden and blessing of animals. Food vendors will be open throughout the day.
Information will be offered by several animal rescue leagues; from speakers addressing basic veterinary care, spay and neutering, and feline trap and release programs; and from the Borough of Pottstown Dog Control Officer. Pottstown Police Department K9 Officer Jax and his partner, Ofc. Portock, also will be available throughout the day.
Area ministers will bless owners’ animals from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Also, the Montgomery County Health Department will provide low-cost pet inoculations from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.
