Visiting Rodders May Return For Eastwood Cruise-Ins
POTTSTOWN PA – Just as they spent several days in Pottstown during mid-July, classic automobile fanatics and owners will soon hit the road again for the next leg of the 2013 Street Rodder Road Tour, sponsored in part by Eastwood Corp., the auto body repair tools retailer and manufacturer located at 263 Shoemaker Rd.
The Autopalooza.org Road Tour runs Aug. 9-10 from the Bonneville Speed Week in Wendover UT to the Woodward Dream Cruise in Detroit MI. And as they did on Eastwood’s grounds last month, tour drivers will gather to show off their hot and highly detailed vehicles, and talk shop and swap stories with friends and colleagues.
For many, the Eastwood Summer Classic Tour that launched July 13 from the borough and cruised through July 21 up to the Syracuse (NY) Nationals races was an annual starting point for a summer of roaming the nation’s highways in style and comfort. During their stay locally, vintage vehicle owners from across the country visited the Eastwood facility, Sanatoga’s own Blast From The Past street rod shop, the Boyertown Auto Museum, historic Valley Forge, and Pennsylvania Dutch country.
In addition to the Eastwood Classic and the Autopalooza trip, six other such tours occur around the nation from June through October. Some of those who visited Pottstown during July are expected to return for Eastwood’s Summer Cruise-Ins, open to the public Aug. 17 (2013; Saturday) and Sept. 1 (Sunday), both from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
