Fits good, looks great too

POTTSTOWN PA – For a second consecutive year, the Costco Warehouse store at the Philadelphia Premium Outlets in Limerick has donated more than 400 backpacks for the book-carrying benefit for all fourth grade students in the Pottstown School District, district Director of Community Relations John Armato announced Monday (Oct. 14, 2013).

Costco representatives recently hand-delivered the backpacks to Franklin Elementary School, where students showed their appreciation. Franklin’s new principal, Kevin Downes, called the donation “another excellent example of our community partners understanding the value and importance of education, and doing their part to help us give our youngsters the foundation they need to be successful.”

“We are happy to be able to play a small role in helping to ensure that students have the necessary materials to be able to take advantage of their educational opportunities,” Costco’s Karen Marine added. “It is rewarding to know that someday they will grow up to be the citizens of our community.”
