‘Vagina Monologues’ Reading Planned As V-Day Event

POTTSTOWN PA – A one-time only, benefit reading of the acclaimed “The Vagina Monologues” by Eve Ensler will be performed by several guest artists to observe V-Day, a global movement to end violence against women and girls, Feb. 15 (2014; Saturday) from 3-4:30 p.m. at the Steel River Playhouse, 245 High St., in sponsorship with the YWCA Tri-County Area. Tickets are available for purchase now.

“The Vagina Monologues” is an award-winning play based on the playwright’s interviews with more than 200 women, and celebrate their sexuality and strength. The reading is directed by Deb Braak, and features Keegan Peters, Lorraine Delgado Amador, Lauren Rozensky Flanagan, Deborah Stimson-Snow, Constance Humphreys, and other performing artists from the region.
