Pottstown Putters Can Flutter Beginning Today

20120225-GolfBallHole-GoogleImagesPOTTSTOWN PA – This year, the borough of Pottstown website proclaims, “expect Friday the 13th to bring good luck!” It’s referring to the luck, or maybe the skill, behind your putter.

The borough’s Manatawny Green Miniature Golf Course opens to the public today (Friday, June 13, 2014) at noon. What borough officials describe as “the Green Golf Sensation” replaces a vacant industrial property located at 71 W. High St., between King and High Streets. It joins The Pottstown Carousel as part of the so-called “Manatawny Gateway” to downtown.

The course will be open Tuesdays through Sundays from noon to 9 p.m. A round of golf costs $7 per player for all age 4 and older; $20 for a family of four, as a Tuesday special; and $5 per player as a Wednesday matinée special between noon and 5 p.m.

Call the Pottstown Parks and Recreation Department at 610-970-6608 for group reservations and pricing for a party or organization.
